Going Linux
Practical Information for Using Linux To Get Things Done
Home Tab  Show Notes Tab  Articles Tab  About Us Tab
 Resources and Links

One of the distinguishing features of using a Linux computer is the abundance of help that is available to you, the user. When Linux is installed on your computer, help files and extensive documentation is available right on your computer. You can download additional help files, and documentation in HTML and PDF formats. On-line help, is also available from many Linux-related websites. Whether it's a problem, or just a question on how to do something, you can simply use your favorite search engine, Google, MSN, Yahoo or whatever, to find answers.

Support is also available from the Linux community. Linux forums, Wiki sites and IRC chat are all online forms of help provided by Linux users, and even by the developers of software for Linux! You can even join a Linux user group (LUG) in your local area if you wish the in-person experience.

The links below take you to lists we have compiled. They contain several of the most
useful resources that we use, and that we mention and recommend in our podcast.
